The lacquer log

November 6, 2012

Thanks to Pinterest, I now have a new blog love: The Lacquer Log.  Have you guys heard of it?  It’s about a girl who documents her nail polish and the designs she creates on her nails.  Which sounds kind of boring, but it’s oddly fascinating to browse through.  My favorite has got to be the ‘neutral ombre‘ (pictured left).

I’ve gotta hand it to this girl, it must take some dedication to keep your nails all pretty like that all the time.  I’ve been working with charcoal a lot for my drawing class (working on this right now, to be exact), so my nails resemble that of a coal miner’s at the moment :/

Do you have any pretty nail inspiration?

  • I want to do the natural ombre too. BUT, the problem is that I don’t happen to have 5 shades of the same color. To be honest the total amount of nail polishes that I own is the humble number of 4 (all green and blue), so… 😀

  • these are so pretty! I can never do polka dots that neat though 🙁 hahah ^^^ you could still do it with blues and greens! Just keep adding white nail varnish in a painter’s palette to make the different shades 🙂 xxx

  • I just don’t understand how people get their nails this perfect! It’s not fair. Also, this reminds me of another fun nail blog: thesortinghouse.blogspot.co.uk — she’s a lot of fun 🙂

  • Those nails are pretty inspiring, I really love the color/pattern palette that it made! Vive Pinterest!
