After the rain

September 17, 2013

If you want something calming and visually inspiring for your Tuesday, watch this video from the New York City Ballet right now. It features two dancers performing Christopher Wheeldon’s After the Rain on the 57th floor of the 4WTC in Manhattan. The piece of music playing is Spiegel im Spiegel (Mirror in Mirror) by Arvo Pärt. I wish I could twist and bend my body in beautiful ways like these. “Dancers are the athletes of God.” (Albert Einstein)

    • Thank you! As much as I would love to take credit for this video, it is made by the New York City Ballet. The link to the video on YouTube is in the post 🙂

  • Breathtaking! I love when he lifts her up so we see her silhouette. And it looks like they were dancing in slow motion at times. I found myself watching her the whole time, she is stunning.

  • Beautiful. I love how the wind becomes a part of their dance.
