guardian - drifter and the gypsy blog

Earlier this week I showed you my outfit and now I’m showing you something I did behind the camera.

I had this photo shoot idea in my head for a few months now and finally got to execute it on my last school break, right before the new year (which oh my gosh seems so long ago!!). The two young girls are not models; they are just some (pretty) girls of family friends whose mothers so graciously allowed me to borrow their kids for the day. I am really pleased with the result and that I was able to do something creatively for myself before school started again. The shoot was loosely inspired by the song Guardian by Alanis Morisette, which I don’t really like that much (heh), I just liked the idea of a protector/mother figure over a child and wanted to translate the concept to photography.
