A few weeks ago, my mom was in Florida visiting her mom, so my dad and I took a little father-daughter day on Saturday. We did our favorite past time: exploring impossibly beautiful neighborhoods full of impossibly beautiful houses and take pictures. It was supposed to rain that day, so I wore my rain boots and had my umbrella in tow, but oddly enough, the entire morning was nothing but clear blue skies.
It’s a tradition of ours to go out for Japanese food while my mom is away and this time was no different! We tried a new place and hit up Shimizu Sushi for lunch. It’s a tiny hole-in-the-wall type place, but it gets super crowded! They didn’t have many vegetarian options for me, but it’s the quality time together that counts, right?
And with all the sunshine in the morning, ironically it didn’t start raining until the drive back home. Go figure!
