Oh My Drifter x Warby Parker

I recently teamed up with Warby Parker to try out eyeglasses in their Home Try-On program. Have you heard of it? It’s pretty cool. You pick out 5 frames for 5 days and Warby Parker ships them to you for free both ways. It’s a great way to test out a variety of frames & get opinions from friends to find which ones suit your pretty little face the best (if you don’t trust your friends, they even have the hashtag #warbyparkerhometryon you can use on Instagram to get opinions from those who work at WP and other strangers!). I chose Chandler Ti in Striped Pacific, Coley in Crystal, Annette in Petal Tortoise, Durand in Saddle Russet and Baxter Ti in Whiskey Tortoise.

Picking eyeglass frames is such a personal matter and it is most certainly not one to be rushed. Getting to choose 5 different frames allowed me to get more adventurous with bolder frames & colors I would have ordinarily shied away from. And guess what? I liked the crystal frames the best! Who would’ve known? I certainly wouldn’t have if it weren’t for the Home Try-On program. On the other hand, I didn’t like the way Annette looked on me at all, so that immediately got nixed from the group (nothing personal to Annette, they were actually my mom’s favorite glasses for herself!).

Personality is what makes good glasses great, so of course I had to have a little photo shoot fun with my 4 favorites from the group! I got together with a few of my favorite creative people and we shot a little (retro) something something (and video!) for you guys!

Shana of Fox & Doll did hair & makeup and Nadia of Nadinoo provided garments from her collection, Play By Numbers. The video was shot in the LightGrid. You may remember the last time I shot in the LightGrid over the summer. This was the first video I made with them! Always fun working with those guys. We’re planning on making more videos in the future, so stay tuned for that my friends.

Until then, enjoy the video!
