In partnership with Zappos, last month I styled a pair of Paige jeans and Freebird boots in a fall look. Today I’m coming back at you with the same jeans and boots restyled in a winter look! It’s been pretty rainy ’round these parts lately and these Freebird boots are perfect for traversing puddles and soggy wet leaves. Freebird by Steven boots are inspired by vintage Americana and constructed using traditional Goodyear technique to give them an authentic classic flair.
My feet are always cold, so I wore some thick wool socks underneath to keep them niiiice and toasty.
I really love online shopping. A lot. Dangerously a lot. I understand the desire to go to a brick and mortar store and to actually get to try on the clothes and to feel the fabric before you make your purchase, but there’s just no beating being able to shop in your PJs. Really. I ordered my jeans and boots from Zappos and the clothes came two days later. And shipping was free. Bam.
Down vests are pretty awesome. When I lived in Connecticut 7+ years ago, it was either too hot or too cold to wear down vests. San Francisco has this beautiful in-between weather which makes it perfect for layering and wearing other in-between clothing that would otherwise be rendered unless (ie: short sleeved sweaters, crop pants, etc.). Oh and gloves! To be honest, I don’t really wear gloves that much. They actually really itch and irritate my hands. But I liked the color (robin’s egg blue = the fastest way to my heart) and I thought they looked pretty with this outfit, so on the gloves went!
Also, I don’t know why I’m wearing my hair in a side ponytail in two outfit posts in a row. I hardly ever wear a side ponytail. Just happens I guess.
Which look did you like best: fall or winter? Which season do you like dressing for more: fall or winter?
