This past weekend, I uncovered some film I got developed but never shared on the blog.
Perhaps it’s because the weather is getting warmer and the summer season seems just a breath away, but I got really nostalgic for these pictures. I don’t take film pictures nearly as much as I’d like to these days–digital photography is just so much easier–so I treasure moments like these captured perfectly on a beautiful roll of film.
With analog photography, even accidental shots like this are dreamy:
This day was the same day with Kate and Anna I blogged about 1.5 years ago; I just never shared my own pictures from the day, so here you go. I’ve said this before, but I love the little neighborhood where we took these pictures: Rockridge. It’s part of the city of Oakland but so full of shops, restaurants and pretty homes, it could be should be a city of its own. I was recently talking to someone who said they like Oakland better than San Francisco. I still think I’d rather live in a charming San Francisco Victorian home, but this is quite lovely as well.
