Beachy Keen

I’ve admittedly never loved the beach. Perhaps that’s not the popular opinion, but that’s just the way it is. Sure, it can be really nice to go there and bask out in the sun for a few hours, but by the end of the day, you’re still sandy, salty and in need of a shower. None of which I enjoy. (Except for the shower. Showers are wonderful, but I just don’t like being grimy in general I guess!) What I DO enjoy are pictures of the beach. Bonus points if they involve retro fashion and cute models. And these photographs by photographer duo Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg definitely fit all criterions.

Do you love physically being at the beach or do you prefer vicariously beach-going through photographs?

  • I grew up on the most southerly tip of England where we are surrounded by beautiful coves, cliffs, dunes and beaches. I LOVE them. I love the sand, the salt and the smell 🙂 But then again I also love to get muddy >.<
My boyfriend who is also from Cornwall hates the beach which I've always found so bizarre since the Cornish folk are so passionate about the sea. I guess for some people, that relationship just isn't meant to be 😛
Glorious photo's though, I need to take more beach photographs but I'm afraid of ruining my camera v.v

    Big Hello from England 🙂

  • I love the beach so much. I spent a month on the southernmost coast of Mexico for a rotation and it was amazing. Sleep-work-beach. I loved how soft my skin got and the wavy beach hair I was sporting every day hahaha.
