I shot these photos in the woods last month with David Leong, who I met at a studio warming party for my friend Jeanette. These woods are in Canyon, California, which is an unincorporated community east of San Francisco. It’s a really strange area—mainly woods, houses hiding at the end of long driveways, one post office and one small school. It’s out of the way of any type of store and it feels like it’s been forgotten with time. It’s fun though because you can stand in the middle of the street and not have to worry about getting run over! It would have been a cool shot to have me lying in the middle of the street, but I’m too much of a chicken! Maybe next time. I’ve always wondered what type of people lived there…
I really love how vibrant my red dress looks amidst the greenery. (My dress and shoes are from Crossroads Trading.)
PS. Thanks for your sweet responses on the blog and social media about Drifter Organics. We’ve had people sign up for our mailing list, like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram. My heart is bursting with love from your positive feedback. 🙂
PPS. My new blog layout is officially done! I’m taking off next week from blogging to migrate everything over to the new site and work out any kinks that may pop up in the process. Monday, November 9th, you guys will get to see the new digs! (November 8th marks my 7th year of blogging, so it’s pretty special to relaunch the blog the day after my 7-year blogging anniversary.) So excited! Till then.
