One for the Money

Oh hello there, most comfortable pants on Earth. I can probably fit two of my legs into one pant leg, but that’s okay. Roomy = comfortable—I think we all can agree on that. I’ve had a problem with these types of pants in the past. It’s really hard to find a top to wear with baggy pants because you don’t want your entire silhouette to sag. You need a fitted top to balance it out, which I don’t have a ton of. I’ve had this sleeveless tie blouse from Crossroads for about a year now and couldn’t find anything to wear it with. Until HELLO pants that I got on sale from American Apparel. I’m always hesitant to buy something I don’t have anything to wear with; often times I don’t end up wearing it, but there are occasions I see something I like too much to pass up. And if I wait long enough, sometimes I’ll eventually find a match, like in this case.

These photos were taken two-ish weeks ago, when we were having a heat wave. Like 90 degree weather for one week straight. Which is too hot for a lot of things, but it especially doesn’t bode well for our inventory of Drifter Organics. Even though we aren’t officially launching our website till next month, we’ve been making body butters to keep in stock for pre-orders and to send out Kickstarter rewards. My mom and I weren’t prepared for the heat wave and needed to get a refrigerator ASAP to keep the body butters cool (they’ll start getting gross and melty if it gets too hot in the house). We took these pictures on our way to Best Buy on a Saturday afternoon (PSA: don’t ever go to Best Buy on a Saturday afternoon) to get a refrigerator. After the first store not having what we needed, we went to a second store and came home with a refrigerator! The thing is, we have nowhere to put the refrigerator so it’s literally sitting in our kitchen against a free wall that has an outlet. #aesthetics In these next few months, my mom and I are going to work at getting organized and come up with a better storage space solution. It’s just HARD when you’re working at turbo speed to get everything up and running to organize everything at the same time.

Oh and by the way, I ended up cutting my own bangs since my last post. They’re a little uneven, but I don’t think anyone notices. Hehe.
