It’s been a good long time since a Smoothies with Style post. I took a hiatus during the winter months because it was just too cold to be drinkin’ smoothies and then I had my hand eczema thing (going to write an update on that/my overall health soon) so it took longer to get back at it than I had anticipated. But I’m BAAAACK! With a smoothie that incorporates all of my very favorite things: chocolate, coconuts, and dates. Does it get any better than that, my friends? I think not.
The smoothie is pretty light on the raw cacao powder, but you can definitely make it more chocolate-y if you’d like by adding more cacao. (Pro tip: I’ve added chocolate chips before and it’s been pure heaven!)
CHOCOLATE COCONUT DATE SHAKE
(makes 16 oz)
• 1 1/2 c almond milk
• 2 frozen bananas
• 3 Medjool dates
• 1 heaping t raw cacao powder
• 1 heaping t coconut flakes
• 1 t vanilla extract
1. Place all ingredients in high speed blender. Blend until smooth.
2. Drink it all down!
