'60s Baby

By far, ’60s-inspired looks are my favorites to do. I love the colors, the patterns, the short shift dresses, the winged eyeliner — I love it all. There’s something about the style that comes very naturally to me. This is the first of a three-part series of outfit pictures I’m doing with San Francisco-based clothing label NOOWORKS. NOOWORKS has some of the most fun, vibrant patterns. These days, I discover most new artists and brands through social media, but I literally found NOOWORKS by passing by their brick and mortar on Valencia Street in San Francisco one sunny summer two years ago. I get a little depressed when I see lots of dark, dreary colors for autumn and winter, but NOOWORKS Autumn/Winter patterns are the perfect marriage between pattern and color without being over-the-top super saturated and summery.

Let’s get some real talk done here. It’s been a minute since I’ve updated this blog. In the past, I would have scurried to throw a post up on here just for the sake of keeping this blog updated, but I much rather post less of more quality than something half-hearted and rushed. I could say I’ve been busy and launch into a long explanation and series of excuses and blah blah blah, which is all true (if you want to read the long explanation of what I’ve been doing, go here), but this blog has always been at the core of my values, and although I’m taking things slower, I’m never quitting. I’ve been overwhelmed and I’ve been inspired and I’ve been soaking up beautiful music and I’ve been writing, creating, learning, and taking care of myself (which means slowing down right now). If you want more daily check-ins, follow me on Instagram, where I post more frequently and do stories.
